Yang Lan (Chinese: 杨澜) is a well-known veteran TV hostess of China who has interviewed over 200 politicians, famous figures in the fields of commerce and culture, and various other celebrities.

Born in 1968 in Beijing, Yang holds a master's degree from Columbia University’s School of International & Public Affairs. Her TV skills are matched by a keen mind for business. In 1999, with her husband, Bruno Wu Zheng, she started her own media company, Sun Television Cyber networks (Sun TV). Sun TV was the world’s best small enterprise in 2000 and 2001, according to Forbes Magazine.

Yang's mother was an engineer, and her father taught English literature at Beijing Foreign Studies University and sometimes served as the official translator for former Chinese Premier Zhou Enlai.

Being an image ambassador of Beijing for the 2008 Olympic Games, she was No.14 torchbearer at Sanya of Hainan Province.
