Xu Shaoshi

Xu Shaoshi (徐绍史), of Han nationality, is a native of Ningbo, east China's Zhejiang Province. He was born in October 1951, entered the workforce in April 1969 and joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) in December 1974. He has been the chairman of National Development and Reform Commission since March, 2013.

March 2013-today: Chairman of the National Development and Reform Commission

2007-March 2013: Minister of Land and Resources.

2000-2007: Deputy secretary-general of the State Council.

1996-2000: Director of the Secretariat of the State Council.

1993-1996: Graduate student at Nankai University and student at the Party School of the CPC Central Committee.

May 1993 - Oct. 1993: director of the general office of the Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources.

1988-1993: Deputy director of the general office of the Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources.

1986-1988: Director of the minister's office of the Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources.

1980-1986: Official at the policy and regulation office of the Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources.

1977-1980: Undergraduate student at Changchun College of Geology.
