Teng Shichu, a conductor and pianist, was born in Harbin in 1947.He is a member of Chinese Musicians Association. In his boyhood he was enlightened on music in Harbin, playing the violin, the piano, the flute and so on. In 1959, he was enrolled to the Elementary School Attached to the Central Conservatory of Music (CCM) to study the piano. Later he graduated from the CCM. He has ever worked in Peking Opera House of Beijing and China Broadcasting Performing Arts Group. Many times he put on piano solo performances at home and abroad. His creations were the telefilm “Jingbo Lake”, as well as the fairy tale symphonic poem “Gudong is Coming” and many songs for children.
