Southern Society

The Southern Society, the first revolutionary literary organization, was established at Huqiu of Suzhou City in the 20th century. Its members wrote poems and prose to advocate revolution and patriotism, as well as to criticize the feudalist government of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911).
