Since Shanghai won the bid for 2010 Expo, construction of an unprecedented scale has been launched. The Expo site has been chosen at the center of Shanghai, mainly featuring an ingenious conception: crossing the Huangpu River, Shanghai's mother river. A number of aquatic buses and aerial cables will be used to link up the banks.
Situated from Nanpu Bridge to Lupu Bridge, the site covers an area of more than 5 sq. m, said to be bigger than ever in Expo history. It can be expected that a large number of aquatic activities will be worked out so that visitors can appreciate the charm of the Huangpu River to the greatest extent.
