The National Wax Museum of China, opened in September, 2004 as part of China's National Museum and covered an area of more than 3000 square meters, is the largest wax museum in China.

126 life-like wax figures including Yang Liwei, China's first man in space, Hong Kong actor Jackie Chan and NBA giant Yao Ming, are on display at the museum.

The wax works on display fall into seven categories, covering famous people in such fields of politics, education, science, arts and sports.

A fairly recent addition to Beijing's museums, the Wax Museum offers a chance to see all of your favorite Chinese historical, political and cultural figures carefully prepared from large slabs of wax.
