"Miracle baby" (奇迹宝宝) is a baby boy who was born at the scene of a traffic accident that killed both his parents in the southeastern city of Xiamen on March 18, 2014.
The boy's father, surnamed Zhao, 42, and his mother, surnamed Duan, 40, were riding a moped on the way to hospital after the mother went into labor. The couple were killed instantly after being hit by a truck. The impact triggered the birth of the 4.2 kilogram boy.The baby was found five meters from the mother's body.
