Guilin landscape has long been considered the best all around China. Situated in the northeast of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Guilin boasts verdant mountains, elegant waters, magnificent crags and fantastic caverns. The clear Lijiang River flows from northeast to southeast like a jade ribbon meandering past Guilin. Along the river there are many fascinating hills of various shapes, including the Folded Brocade Mountain, the Wave Curbing Hill, the Seven Star Hill and the Elephant Trunk Hill, and a lot more. In addition to millions ordinary tourists, it has hosted many distinguished state guests.
