Huaping Natural Reserve

Straddling the borders of Longsheng and Lingui counties, the Huaping Reserve covering an area of 139 sq. km. It is a large natural nursery of medicinal plants, including pseudo-ginseng, tuber of multi-flower knotweed, tuber of pinellia, prunella Chinese Paris Rhizome, and rare parasite Herba Phlegmariuri Fargesi on thousand-year-old trees.
The luxuriant evergreen forest in Huaping Reserve provides an ideal habitat for more than 500 species of wild animals, such as crimson-bellied tragopan, yellow-bellied tragopan, sika deer, musk deer, baboon, silver pheasant, red jungle fowl (Gallus gallus) and white-necked long-tailed pheasant.
