On September 18, 1996, after 15 years of tireless perseverance by the academics and publishers of China, a massive collection of information totaling 74 volumes, the Encyclopedia of China, has finally been fully published.
Covering 66 subjects and encompassing all aspects of China's culture, the Encyclopedia of China boasts over 80,000 entries containing over 70,000 pictures and 120 million words.
