Deng Linlin wins the women's balance beam gold medal in the London Olympic Games.

Deng Linlin (邓琳琳 used name: Deng Linfeng) is a top Chinese gymnast who won gold in the women's balance beam during the 2012 London Olympic Games. She also won a gold medal in the women's team completion at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

Born on April 21, 1992 in Anhui, Deng started gymnastics training in 1998, joined the Anhui provincial gymnastic team in 2001 and later earned a spot on the national gymnastics team by age 11. She did not become known for her talents until 2008 when she began to take part in international competitions. She won three medals, including a gold medal at the World Cup in Qatar in March 2008.

The Chinese national team released the list of gymnasts' chosen to compete in the London Olympic Games in June 2012, and Deng Linlin was on the list. On July 15 of the same year, she was chosen as the women's national gymnastics team captain.
