Chen Yi (Chinese: 陈毅) was a member of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, vice chairman of the Central Military Commission, vice premier of the State Council and minister of foreign affairs, vice chairman of the National Defense Commission and marshal of the People's Republic of China.
He passed away on January 6, 1972 in Beijing at the age of 71.
