Bixia Temple

From Wiki China org cn

The Bixia (Azure Cloud) Temple is a complex of grand buildings set among high mountains, located on the top of Mount Tai. It consists of two courtyards. The main hall has a hip-and-gable roof and 360 runs of curved tiles, symbolizing the number of days in a lunar year. Wood easily decays due to fog and rain and tiles are easily wrecked by strong winds, the tiles were therefore made of iron. In the early Qing Dynasty, iron tiles were replaced with bronze ones.
