Famen Temple (Temple of Dharma Gate) lies in Fufeng County 120 km west of Xi'an. It is a universally well-known temple housing a finger-bone relic of Sakyamuni. First built in the Eastern Han Dynasty (25-220), the temple was destroyed and rebuilt several times in ensuing dynasties. (More...)
