Zhou Lulu (周璐璐) is a Chinese weightlifter who broke her own total world record of 328kg and won the gold medal in the women's +75kg division at the London Olympic Games, with an overall weight of 333kg.

"I am really happy. The gold medal weighs more than the weights," Zhou said after the competition.

Born in China's eastern Shandong province in 1988, Zhou took up the sport at the age of 11, despite being discouraged at first by the intensity of the training. However, the victory of another Shandong native, Tang Gonghong, at the 2004 Athens Olympics, altered Zhou's attitude to the sport.

"I gradually began to enjoy weightlifting,” she recalled.
