Xitang (West Church)

Located not far for Xizhimen, the West Church was built in the 18th century but was destroyed in 1811 during the persecution of Christians. It was rebuilt in 1867 and then destroyed again during the Boxer Uprising. The present building was erected at the turn of the century.
