1992: A chartered plane of Wuhan Airlines crashed in Gansu Province

At 3:35 pm on October 8, 1992, a chartered plane of Wuhan Airlines carrying tourists crashed in Huajia Village, Bailu Town, Dingxi County, Gansu Province.

The flight, bound for Huxian County in Shaanxi Province, took off from Lanzhou Zhongchuan Airport at 2:18 pm on October 8. Seven crew members and 28 passengers were on board, including 11 from Taiwan, 14 from Western Europe, and three from China’s mainland. Thirteen people died in the accident and four were severely injured.
