Wu Minxia (吴敏霞)

Wu Minxia (吴敏霞) is a diver with the Chinese national swimming team. She won gold medals in women's double 3-meter springboard diving and women's single 3-meter springboard diving in 2012 London Olympic Games.

Prior to London Olympic Games in 2012, she won the women's singles and doubles in the 3-meter springboard at the International Swimming Federation (FINA) Diving World Cup.

Born on Nov. 10, 1985 in Shanghai, Wu started diving training at the age of six, and joined the Shanghai Diving Team in 1994 before becoming a member of the National Diving Team in 1998. Her first partnership was with Guo Jingjing and they first competed together at the 14th Asian Games in Busan in 2002, during which they won gold in the women's doubles in the 3-meter springboard. Wu also took second place in the women's singles in the 3-meter springboard.

In 2001

Women's doubles champion in the 3-meter springboard at the World Championships.

Women's singles champion in the 3-meter springboard at the East Asian Games.

Women's singles and doubles second place, team champion in the 3-meter springboard at the World Cup.

Women's singles and doubles champion in the 3-meter springboard at the FINA Diving Grand Prix in Canada.

Women's singles champion in the 3-meter springboard at the FINA Diving Grand Prix in the USA.

Women's singles second place in the 1-meter springboard at the National Diving Championships.

Women's doubles champion in the 3-meter springboard at the FINA Diving Grand Prix in Australia.

In 2004

Women's singles champion in the 3-meter springboard at the World Cup.

Women's doubles champion and singles second place in the 3-meter springboard at the 28th Olympic Games in Athens.

In 2005

Women's singles second place in the 1-meter springboard and second place in the 3-meter springboard at the World Championships in Montreal.

In 2006

Women's singles gold medal in the 3-meter springboard at the 15th World Cup. This was also the 100th gold medal won by China's National Diving Team at the World Cup.

Women's singles champion in the 3-meter springboard at the Asian Games in Doha.

In 2007

Women's doubles champion and singles second place in the 3-meter springboard at the World Championships in Melbourne.

Women's singles champion and doubles champion (with Guo Jingjing) in the 3-meter springboard at the 16th FINA World Cup.

Women's doubles champion and singles bronze medal in the 3-meter springboard at the 29th Olympic Games in Beijing.

In 2009

Women's singles second place in the 1-meter springboard and doubles champion in the 3-meter springboard at the World Championships in Rome.

Women's singles silver medal in the 1-meter springboard and doubles champion in 3-meter springboard at the 11th National Games.

In 2010

Women's singles and doubles champion in the 3-meter springboard at the 17th FINA World Cup.

Women's singles champion in the 1-meter springboard at the 16th Asian Games in Guangzhou.

In 2011

Women's doubles and singles champion in the 3-meter springboard at the FINA Diving Series in Sheffield.

Women's doubles and singles champions in the 3-meter springboard at the 14th World Championships in Shanghai.

Women's singles second place and doubles champion in the 3-meter springboard at the National Championships (which were also the trials for the London Olympics).
