The International Conference on Engineering and Technology

The International Conference on Engineering and Technology, one of China's largest and highest level conferences in the engineering and technological field, was held in Beijing on October 11, 2000.

More than 2,000 elite representatives from over 30 countries attended the conference. The theme of the conference was to look back on achievements in engineering and technology fields on one hand, and discuss how to achieve more successes for greater contribution to humanity on the other. Experts had a penetrative discussion on eight elements of engineering and technological fields, including information, biochips, new kinds of materials, environment, advanced skills in manufacture and transportation, energy, civil engineering, and agriculture.
