Senado Square

From Wiki China org cn

Senado Square (Largo do Senado) is the paved area in the middle of the former Portuguese colony of Macau. It is surrounded by many heritage buildings from the Portuguese colonial era, including the Leal Senado, the General Post Office and the St. Dominic Church. The wave-like pattern is a traditional style Portuguese pavement.

The square has always been the city centre. Nowadays, many celebrations are still held at this venue.

It was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2005.
