China's Declaration of War on Germany, Japan and Italy

From Wiki China org cn

Japan began waging an undeclared war on China in July 1937, and China resisted without technically announcing the existence of a state of war until Dec. 9, 1941.

"The Chinese government hereby formally declares war on Japan. The Chinese government further declares that all treaties, conventions, agreements and contracts regarding relations between China and Japan are and remain null and void."

Diplomatic relations with Germany and Italy were similarly severed due to the Tripartite Pact of September 1940.

"The Chinese Government hereby declares that as of midnight, Dec. 9, 1941, a state of war exists between China and Germany and between China and Italy. The Chinese government further declares that all treaties, conventions, agreements, and contracts regarding relations between China and Germany and between China and Italy are and remain null and void."

Thus, China joined the united Allied front with countries such as Great Britain, France and the United States.
