Changsha He Long Stadium

Built in 1987, Changsha He Long Stadium can accommodate 55,000 people. It was rebuilt in 2002 to serve as the main stadium for the 5th National Inter-City Games in 2003. Located northwest of the Changshan New Century Sports Cultural Center, the main building has eight stories (partly nine stories) with the lowest altitude of the terraced roof being 28.8 meters and the highest altitude being 33 meters. The whole frame consists of 484 legs. Most of the exterior is decorated with the most popular paneled glass walls in the world. The steel roof has a building space of 45,700 square meters and the steel used weighs 3,552 tons.
