The “10 m2 of Love”(母爱十平方)is a campaign launched by UNICEF in China,in an attempt to provide convenient rooms of 10-square-meterin public places and office buildings for mothers to breastfeed their children.

Breastfeeding during the first six months is the best way to ensure the healthy growth of a baby; therefore, authorities and employers should offer easy access to mothers, who want to breastfeedtheir babies, according to the representative of UNICEF in China, Gillian Mellsop.

In partnership with the National Center for Women and Children’ Health of the Chinese Center of Disease Control and Prevention, UNICEF invited the Chinese actress Ma Yili to be the special advocate for Breastfeeding and Early Childhood Development.

Companies, buildings, and offices, trying to apply for 10m2 of Love, can log into the UNICEF portal: www.unicef.cn/10m2.
