In her professional career to date, she has won a total of four WTA Tour singles titles and 14 doubles titles. In 2004, she became the first Chinese player to reach the fourth round of a Grand Slam event. In 2006 she and Yan Zi became the first Chinese pair to win a Grand Slam doubles title. In 2008 she became the first Chinese player to reach a Grand Slam singles semi-final.

Zheng Jie (郑洁) is a Chinese professional tennis player. As of Aug. 27, 2012, she ranked 28th on the latest Women's Tennis Association (WTA) singles rankings and 22nd in doubles.

Born on July 5, 1983 in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, Zheng began playing tennis at the age of 7. She became a professional player at the age of 19. In her professional career to date, she has won a total of four WTA Tour singles titles and 14 doubles titles. In 2004, she became the first Chinese player to reach the fourth round of a Grand Slam event. In 2006 she and Yan Zi became the first Chinese pair to win a Grand Slam doubles title. In 2008 she became the first Chinese player to reach a Grand Slam singles semi-final.
