Zhang Xiaoguang

Zhang Xiaoguang (张晓光) is one of the crewmen of the spacecraft Shenzhou 10 flying from June 11 to June 26, 2013. He used to be the head of air squadron with a safety record of over 1,000 flying hours.

Born an ethnic Manchu,in Liaoning, in May 1966, Zhang joined the army in 1985.

Zhang was selected as one of the astronauts, in January 1998, after completing over a dozen of training, in subjects such as fundamental theories, adaptabilities in space atmosphere and professional techniques

In April 2013, he was selected as one of the three crewmen of Shenzhou 10.

On June 11, 2013, Nie Haisheng, Wang Yaping and Zhang flew into space in Shenzhou 10, which was supposed to dock with Tiangong 1.

On June 26, 2013, the crew returned to Earth.
