Zhang Mo

Zhang Mo (张默)

Zhang Mo (张默), Chinese actor, was born on July 28, 1982 in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. He was detained by the police on January 30, 2012 in a villa in Beijing's Shunyi District for taking marijuana. His father Zhang Guoli, a noted Chinese actor and director, expressed his support for the police action in a statement on Feb. 1. He implored the media to be tolerant, understand the feelings of a father, and give his son a chance to repent and make a fresh start. The case is under investigation. Early in 2003, Zhang Mo was caught in a fight crisis with his former girlfriend.

Studying in the Central Academy of Drama (without graduation), Zhang Mo has starred in many films and TV dramas since 1997, including "Remembering 1942" (2012), "Will be lovelorn for 33 Days" (2011), "Let the Bullets Fly" (2010), "Always Together" (2011), "The World Second" (2007), and "Because of Love" (2000).
