Wang Mingjuan(王明娟

Wang Mingjuan (王明娟) is a member of Chinese Women's Weightlifting Team.

Born on October 11, 1985 in Yongzhou City, Hunan Province, Wang began practicing weightlifting in Jiangyong Sports School when she was 12, under the direction of Chen Guifeng. In 2000, she was chosen to join the Hunan Weightlifting Team and was trained by He Yicheng. One year later, she became a member of Chinese Women's Weightlifting Team and Ma Wenhui became her coach.

Wang rouse to fame when she won three gold medals and broke three world records at the 2002 World Championships. She then won again in snatch, clean and jerk and total in the World Championships in 2003 and 2005. However, due to a hand injury, she didn't perform well until the 2006 Asian Games in Doha, when she won three golds with absolute dominance.

2006 Asian Games in Doha: women's 48kg, total: 206kg, gold


2009 China's 11th National Games: women's 48kg, total: 220kg, gold

2009 World Weightlifting Championships: women's 48kg, two golds (snatch, total), one silver (clean and jerk), due to the mistake made by South Korean staff.

2010 16th Guangzhou Asian Games: women's 48kg, total: 210 kg, gold

2012 National Women Weight-lifting Championships: women's 48kg, total: 210kg, silver
