Born in January 19, 1973 in a peasant family in Jiaohe, [[Jilin Province]], Wang started long-distance run training in Dalian Spare-time Sports School in 1988. She enrolled into Liaoning Provincial Track & Field Team in 1991 and the National Team in 1995.
