Lying in Fukang County, Tianchi (Heavenly Pool) Nature Landscape Reserve boasts 18 modern glaciers, three rivers, and 18 lakes. It is home to over 200 species of plants (mainly alpine dragon spruce), over 20 species of animals and more than 50 species of birds. Centering around the alpine Tianchi Lake, it is a national-level natural reserve.
