Tianchi (Heavenly Pool) is the highest volcanic lake in China, and is listed in the Guinness Book of Records. The lake is known for its sublime and mysterious natural beauty.

Lying on the border between China and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, its northern part is in Jilin Province. It averages 204 m deep, at 373 m at the deepest part, and is 2,189.1 m above sea level.
