On Nov. 28, 1935, the Central Government of the Chinese Soviet Republic and the Revolutionary Military Commission of the Chinese Red Army jointly issued "The Proclamation of Resistance Against Japan and Saving the Motherland."
In the proclamation, the Communist Party of China (CPC) called for the different political groups and military powers in China to put aside their differences and form a solid alliance against Japanese invasion and the Kuomintang regime led by Chiang Kai-shek that did little to stop the Japanese. The CPC called for concentrating domestic wealth and manpower on the military campaign against Japanese invasion. It also proposed uniting the foreign powers to fight against Japanese imperialism.
