Sun Yefang, a Chinese economist, was renowned for his profound knowledge of economic theory and was responsible for many economic reform initiatives.
Sun was born in 1908 in the eastern city of Wuxi, Jiangsu Province. In 1925 he was sent to study in Moscow and returned to China in 1930.
Sun died on February 22, 1983.
