St. Alexyev Church, situated at the intersection of Gexin and Shike streets, is an intact Russian Baroque-style structure under protection. It first belonged to the Eastern Orthodox, and was turned over to the Catholics in 1980.

The bell tower of the church is tent-like with the central hall under an onion-like dome of typical Baroque style.
