The epicenter of the quake was located 31.0 degrees north latitude and 103.4 degrees east longitude.

The death toll from the earthquake in Sichuan and its neighboring region was 69,227, according to State Council Information Office.

The numbers of people listed as missing and injured were 17,923 and 374,643 respectively.
