Located in Shunyi District approximately 30 kilometers east of Beijing city proper, the Shunyi Olympic Rowing-Canoeing Park is on the banks of the Chaobaihe River. It includes a flatwater course for the aquatics long distance race, the rowing and canoe/kayak races, as well as a slalom course. Regarded as one of the most beautiful venues for the Beijing Olympics, the Park is also the only venue in the world to have flatwater and slalom courses within one competition field.
