Ni Fake (倪发科), the former vice governor of Anhui Province, is being investigated for serious disciplinary offenses, said the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China, in a statement on June 4, 2013.

Born in January 1954 in Lishui, Jiangsu Province, Ni began his career in September 1970 and joined the Party in January 1973. He has received his credentials from the Party School of the Central Committee of the CPC.

In September 1970, he started working in the Jianxin Production and Construction Corps in Anhui Province.

In August 1976, he became a member of the Party Standing Committee of the Pujiwei Farm and vice head of the farm in Anhui Province. (From October 1980 to April 1981, he studied in the Cadre School under the Ministry of State Farms and Land Reclamation).

From October 1983, he was vice director of the Industry Department of the Anhui Provincial Farms and Land Reclamation Bureau. (From February 1985 to August 1986, he studied in the Nanjing Agriculture School under the Central Agricultural Management Institute).

In January 1987, he was appointed vice director of the Wuhu Municipal Agriculture Bureau of Anhui Province.

In July 1989, he was appointed director and secretary of the Party Committee of the Wuhu Municipal Agriculture Bureau.

In March 1992, he was appointed secretary of the Nanling County Party Committee of Anhui Province. (From September 1991 to July 1992, he studied in the cadre training class of the Party School of Anhui Provincial Party Committee.)

In February 1994, he became a member of the Wuhu Municipal Party Standing Committee and secretary of the Nanling County Party Committee.

In December 1994, he was appointed vice mayor of the Wuhu Municipal Government.

In March 1996, he was appointed vice mayor of the Wuhu Municipal Government and vice secretary of its Leading Party Members' Group.

In September 1996, he became a member of the Wuhu Municipal Party Standing Committee, vice mayor and vice secretary of its Leading Party Members' Group.

In December 1997, he became vice secretary of the Wuhu Municipal Party Committee, vice mayor and vice secretary of its Leading Party Members' Group.

In February 1998, he became vice secretary of the Wuhu Municipal Party Committee.

In October 1999, he became vice secretary and prefectural commissioner of the Liu'an Prefectural Party Committee.

In March 2000, he became vice secretary of the Liu'an City Party Committee and vice mayor of the city of Liu'an.

In November 2002, he was appointed as secretary of the Liu'an City Party Committee, and mayor of Liu'an. (From August 2000 to December 2002, he studied in the Party School of the CPC Central Committee.)

In June 2003, he was secretary of the Liu'an City Party Committee, and chairman of the Standing Committee of the Liu'an City People's Congress. (From March 2003 to January 2005, he studied in the Party School of the CPC Central Committee.)

In January 2008, he was appointed vice governor of Anhui Province, member of its Leading Party Members' Group, secretary of the Liu'an City Party Committee, and chairman of the Liu'an City People's Congress.

In February 2008, he became vice governor of Anhui Province and member of its Leading Party Members' Group.

Ni was a delegate to the 17th CPC National Congress, deputy to the 10th National People's Congress, and member of the Seventh and Eighth of the Anhui Provincial Party Committee.
