The National Emblem of China.

On September 20, 1950, the Central People's Government issued the National Emblem of People's Republic of China on the orders of Chairman Mao Zedong.

The emblem is made up of elements of the national flag, Tian'anmen, cog-wheels and sheaves of wheat. It symbolizes China's New Democratic Revolution and the birth of new China.
