Known as the Northern Mountain among the Five Great Mountains in China, Mt. Hengshan is famous for eighteen scenic spots, especially the Hanging Temple.

Built in the Northern Wei Dynasty (386-534), the Hanging Temple clings to a precipitous cliff of the Cuiping Peak. With dangerous rocks overhead and an abyss below, it really seems to be suspended in mid-air.
