Situated in the eastern part of Shaanxi Province and being 2,200 m above sea level, Mount Huashan is noted for its dangerous and precipitous peaks. It boasts five imposing peaks with sheer precipices and overhanging rocks. It is also a preferred spot for Daoist cultivation as witnessed by a large number of Daoist temples there.
