On September 28, 1954, China's Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) decided to establish the Military Commission of the CPC Central Committee.Based on the decision, Mao Zedong chaired the commission and Peng Dehuai was responsible for managing its daily work.
