Mengyang Nature Reserve

Covering an area of 360 ha, the Mengyang Nature Reserve is home to more than 8000 higher plants. It is also a sanctuary for wild elephants, buffaloes, bears, leopards, monkeys and pythons as well as hundreds of species of birds. It is one of the few places throughout the world where people can observe wild elephant herds. In the reserve, there are observation posts from where people can watch wild elephants foraging, drinking, bathing and sporting. Besides, cable cars are provided for visitors to view the tropical rain forest scenery.
