Macau Tower

The 338-m-high Macau Tower, also called Macau Sky Tower, stands on the southern part of Macau peninsula. Besides for observation and entertainment, the Macau Tower is also used for telecommunications and broadcasting.

The Macau Tower is the brainchild of Macau casino tycoon Stanley Ho, and it was designed by Beca Group, a New Zealand engineering firm, working in corporation with Gordon Moller of Craig Moller architects. Construction began in 1998 and the tower was officially open to the public on December 19, 2001.
