Macao Museum of Art, located in the cultural center of New Port District, was opened to the public in March 19, 1999. It is the only art museum in Macao, housing an abundant collection of paintings, seals, western paintings, pottery and bronze.
The five-storied building, with a floor space of 10,192 sq. m., consists of five exhibition halls, namely, Hall of Chinese Calligraphy and Paintings, Hall of Chinese Potteries, two featuring exhibition halls, and Exhibition Hall of History. Besides, the Museum has an auditorium that can hold more than 100 visitors.
