Lu Chen (刘谦)

Lu Chen (Chinese: 刘谦) is a renowned magician from Taiwan and the only Chinese magician to perform in the Hollywood Magic Castle in the U.S.

Born on June 25, 1976 in Kaohsiung, Lu began to take a deep interest in magic at the age of 7. At the age of 12, he won Taiwan Children's Magic Contest, which was judged by world-famous magician David Copperfield. In 1999, he graduated from Taiwan Soochow University with a degree in Japanese literature. Lu hasn't been formally apprenticed by any master to teach him his skills. He has become a leading magician basically through self-study.

Lu has been on numerous performing tours around the world, appearing in Japan, South Korea, the U.S. and European countries. He made his debut on the Chinese mainland on CCTV's annual Spring Festival celebration gala in 2009, and his performance was considered one of the most popular acts that night. Since then, he has gained a great following throughout the mainland. Various provincial TV productions and entertainment groups have invited him to perform.

Lu has been the recipient of many international awards. Today, many consider him to be Asia's David Copperfield due to his unrivaled fame and popularity especially in Asian countries and regions.
