The 437 km Lijiang River's source is at Mount Mao'er at Xing'an County northeast of Guilin, and it passes through Guilin, Yangshuo, Pingle, Zhaoping and Wulin. The 83-km-long waterway from Guilin to Yangshuo forms a gallery of landscape painting.
