Liao Hui

Ethnic Han, born in May 1942, native of Huiyang, Guangdong Province. Joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) in December 1965 and began working in August 1960. Graduated from Missile Engineering Department of Harbin Military Engineering Institute where he had majored in general design of ground-to-air missile. With a university education.

Member of the CPC Central Committee, vice-chairman of the 11th CPPCC National Committee and member of the Leading Party Members' Group in the 11th CPPCC National Committee, and director of the State Council's Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office and secretary of its Leading Party Members' Group.
