Li Shuangjiang


Born in Harbin in 1939, Mr. Li Shuangjiang, is a tenor and member of Chinese Musicians Association. He was enrolled to vocal music school of Central Conservatory of Music. In 1963 he was a solo actor of Cultural Workgroup in Xinjiang Military District of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA). In 1973 he was a solo actor of the Song-and-Dance Troupe of the General Political Department of PLA. And then ranked as a civilian general, he taught in the vocal music school of PLA Art Academy. His representative works include “Red Star Lights My Way to the Battlefield”, “Riding a Horse with Gun to Walk Throughout the World”, “Ode to Beijing”, “Boatmen’s Labor Songs”, “Goodbye, Mother!”, “I Love Wutzu Mountain, I Love Wanquan River” and so on. His famous publication is “The Collected Works of Li Shuangjiang”. He was given the Lifetime Achievements Award by Chinese American Association.
