Li Shenglin (李盛霖)

Li Shenglin, a native of Nantong City, Jiangsu Province, was born in November 1946. He graduated from Zhenjiang Agricultural Machinery College and started work in August 1970. In June 1973, he joined the Communist Party of China (CPC).

From 1973 to 1983: Workshop planner of Tianjin Tractor Factory; Vice Secretary and Secretary of the factory’s Communist Youth League Committee; Party Branch Secretary of the Tools Workshop of Tianjin Tractor Factory; Vice Manager of Tianjin Chemical Machinery Co Ltd; Deputy Office Director of the Technology Department of Tianjin Tractor Industrial Co Ltd; Director of the Planning Department of Tianjin Municipal Government.

From 1983: Vice Secretary-General of Tianjin municipal government; Director of Tianjin Textile Industrial Bureau; Vice Secretary of the bureau’s CPC Committee.

From 1988: Director of Tianjin Municipal Planning Commission.

From Oct. 1991: Vice Mayor of Tianjin.

From May 1993: Vice Secretary of the CPC Tianjin Municipal Committee; Vice Mayor of Tianjin.

From May 1998: Vice Secretary of the CPC Tianjin Municipal Committee; Mayor of Tianjin.
