Li Jianrou

Li Jianrou (李坚柔) is a Chinese short track speed skater. She is an Olympic Champion and 2012 Overall World Champion.

Born 15 August 1986 in Jilin City, Jilin Province, Li started short track speed skating at age ten. She was admitted to the national speed skating team in 2008 and won the gold medal in the women’s 1000m event at the Asian Short Track Speed Skating Championships the same year.

In 2012, Li claimed the champion title at the 1,500m event at the World Short Track Speed Skating Championships.

In 2014, Li won gold in the 500m event at the Winter Olympics in Sochi.
