Apart from its reputation as "Cradle of Chinese revolution," Jinggang Mountain, lying in the middle of Luoxiao Mountains on the border of Hunan and Jiangxi, was selected as one of the key national scenic spots in 1982. It also abounds in natural resources with a forest coverage rate of 64%, and boasts more than 3,800 different plants, including over 30 rare tree species and over 20 rare animal species. A nature reserve of 16.6 sq km was established here in 1981.

Jinggang Mountain
